Introduction to the Kirby Morgan Hat: Operator User Training Course
The “Kirby Morgan Hat: Operator User Training” course is designed for commercial divers and diving personnel, focusing on the standardized procedures for the inspection, setup, and operation of Kirby Morgan Helmets and Band Masks. This course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to perform daily pre-dive and post-dive checks, as well as corrective adjustments to ensure optimal helmet and Band Mask performance.
Course Overview
Target Audience: Trained commercial diving personnel, including divers, tenders, and supervisors.
Monthly maintenance should be performed at the end of your training course with the utmost care using the correct procedures and maintenance schedule.
- at least once a month with a helmet in continuous use (used for more than 20 diving days in a month)
- at least every two months with helmets used for less than 10 diving days a month.
Learning Objectives
Participants will learn to:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of Kirby Morgan Helmets and Band Masks.
- Identify equipment deficiencies that may pose safety hazards.
- Implement daily maintenance procedures in accordance with Kirby Morgan guidelines.
Persons who received operator user training have a responsibility to ensure helmets and masks they set up and work with are set up and adjusted in accordance with pre-dive checklists and operations/maintenance manuals.
