Oxygen Administration course is designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to effectively administer oxygen to an injured person.
It forms part of Tier 1 of the medical Emergency Response.
First aid treatment is to be given by a designated first responder within 3-5mins. (Ref: IOGP Medical Emergency response)
This training was aligned with the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) standards to assist with crossover certification.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Emergency Medical Skills: Students will learn advanced first aid techniques, including oxygen administration and airway management.
- Oxygen Systems: Training includes the use of portable and fixed oxygen systems, understanding oxygen toxicity, and proper safety protocols.
- Assessment and Response: Participants will gain skills in assessing casualties and providing appropriate medical interventions in both breathing and non-breathing scenarios.
Upon completion, learners will be equipped to provide oxygen and handle diving-related medical emergencies with confidence.
